ipilot link and 900's or 1100's
« on: March 08, 2014, 10:25:33 PM »
I have 998c on console, plan on buying I-
pilot link, the way understand the build in us2 will not have down imaging.
I would like to have 999c or 1199c up front, but is down imaging a big thing. Any suggestions, should I reverse units
or is there a switch to buy to make down imaging on both units.

Sorry Im a little confused. Ill answer what I think you are asking.

I am assuming you are buying an Ipilot Link pre installed on a new trolling motor. If you want side or down imaging, then you have to install a separate transducer on the trolling motor as there are no pre installed down or side imaging transducers at this time. If you plan on just using dual beam (traditional sonar) then I would get the trolling motor with the universal sonar 2. If you want SI or DI up front (why wouldnt you if you have the units for it) then it is not necessary to buy the new Ipilot motor with the US2 because the transducer you are installing will already have dual beam as well. Why not  save a few dollars?

Did I come close to answering your ?
