5 port ethernet switch install
« on: March 12, 2013, 12:08:17 AM »
In the istallation instructions, it states, "using a level, locate a flat surface to mount".  Is it really necessary that this thing is mounted horizontal and level?  Thanks

Nope, it shouldn't matter which direction it is mounted.

If you read that again it will say to use a level to find a FLAT SURFACE. It doesn't have to be level. They just dont want a surface that is crowned in the middle so when you snug it down you down break it. Hope that helps.

Thanks. That makes sense now. I'm getting ready to mount mine.

Bless you.
