Title: Onix vs Helix
Post by: gammo42 on May 16, 2017, 11:43:14 PM
I would be interested to get some feedback on two HB's. If you had the choice of a Onix8ci SI Combo for $2250 or a Helix 9 Gen 1 SI Combo for $1900, which would you choose and why? Both are second hand units, I am in Australia and Navionics is not an issue.

Which is better?

I am currently running an 898SI

THANKS

The Onix would be a superior unit to the Helix 9 Gen1

ONIX adds touch screen (if it's not the NT model), more customization, CHIRP, map card sharing, internal memory for saving screenshots, on board pdf manual, MEGA sharing from SOLIX  ...

I'm sure I've forgotten some other stuff too  ...
