Title: Ok Ive been gone for two-three years but Im back!

got busy and bored with fishing mainly because I have a small boat/seadoo repair business on a large lake and sometimes just get tired of the water. But i always seem to come back to fishing! Ive installed lots of units for customers but sense my last 998si im not sure what to get. I just bought me another boat mainly to run service calls out of but will start fishing again i have a Garmin 70 with structure box but not to fond of its ability's and horrible SI capability's. thinking of picking up a new bird tomorrow but just not sure.
leaning toward the helix 10 mega. Any of you using this unit? Thoughts?

Hi Don,

     Welcome back.  Been a while.  Do I remember that you used HumViewer?  If so, you may want to stick with one of the core units.

yes i used humviewer every time got back from trip out.  does viewer not work with new helix units?

I believe I'm correct in that HumViewer doesn't work with any of the newer units past the core ones.  That is why I have stayed with the 1199's.  Several attempts have been made to contact Martin ( he wrote the program ), but he has not responded.  Before you do anything, wait for Rickie or BobB to confirm this is correct info. Check out SonarTRX, Reefmaster and Yellowfin. Some of the new units come with Autochart live now.  HumViewer meets my needs. Here's a link to an old/new post on this. The bottom has current info.

Welcome back. Hummviewer works with the Helix 7 si G2.
