Title: 998c and ipilot update
Post by: Dennisj on April 13, 2017, 08:00:37 PM
I just got a used boat with 2 998c and an terrova ipilot link. I updated the units before i updated the ipilot. The problem is the orignal owner never updated the ipilot. The controller software is 1.130 and the remote is at 1.150 the units have 7.670 now the units wont connect to the trolling motor. HB says i need to send 1 unit in to get software reverted to an older update 6.9 or lower. I there anything i can do instead of sending it in to HB? Im going to be away for a few days so il check in when i get back. Thanks guys

Do you know what software version came with your units?  They normally recommend not going further back that that.

I would try to talk them into sending you an older update instead of sending the unit in.

Now go back and read it again.

Then go here.

Humminbird should be able to tell you what it was based on the serial number ..... and they should be able to send you the update you need.
