Title: Lake Master SD card or Navionics on Helix 10 SI GPS for Western States
Post by: Porter1965 on March 28, 2017, 02:14:13 PM
Looking to see what you guys would recommend software wise or SD card for the western states ( I live in Colorado) but fish Utah, Wyoming etc. wonder if someone can tell me on this forum if they have had better luck with either for this region? I have heard on the Lake Master that if the lake is in HD it is very good but if it is not it is worthless? and allot of lakes on the western card didn't look to be HD ?

LakeMaster lakes listed in Bold with an asterisk are surveyed by LakeMaster and are 1ft contours ...

Lakes listed in Bold are not surveyed by LakeMaster and may be 3ft contours ...

Lakes listed not in Bold are not surveyed by LakeMaster and are most likely 10ft contours ...

Maybe someone with a Western card will post that can give more info ...

I will have to go with the Navionics card after looking at both the Lakemaster and the Navionics for the "West" the Lakemaster has very little in the way HD ? which means their maps won't be worth allot to me? the Navionics seem to have the maps for the lakes I fish in HD with more detail. I know it probably matters where you are fishing in the country and which card has the most detail?

Thank you for your feed back on this.
