Title: Can't see lake map on 859 or 898 units
Post by: RyanMuskie on August 07, 2016, 10:41:18 PM
Hi - I bought AutoChart Pro to use with my 898 SI and 859 DI on lakes that do not have LakeMaster contour maps. I took the Snapshot and Recording route to get the data so that I would have bottom hardness. I recorded on a blank SD card. Imported the data into the program. Insert the ZeroLines into the computer. Created a map on the ZeroLines card. Then put the card into the 898 - it didnt recognize the Zero Lines card. So then I updated the software on the 898. Still didn't work. Then I followed the instructions to save map to local folder, change LkMaster folder on zero lines card to 0LkMaster, then copy the local folder to the ZeroLines. Put the card into the 898, it now recognized the chart. But doesn't show the contour lines. I can see the outline of the lake, and the waypoints that were marked, including the recording waypoints.

I also tried all of the above in the 859 with the same results.

What am I doing wrong?

If you imported your recordings into Auto chart from your SD card,  created the map, then updated your Lakemaster chart, you should be able to take the zero lines card and insert it into your unit. It should recognize the card and all you have to do is go to your chart menu, turn on overlays and select AC as your overlay.

Rename your 0Lkmaster file back to Lkmaster, otherwise you won't see any mapping outside of where you recorded.
