Title: Autochart pro/ saltwater / navionics
Post by: haggen29 on June 30, 2016, 07:54:08 AM
Hello all,

I interested in purchasing the Autochart pro but hear it wont work with navionics

I just upgraded from a 997 to helix 9, its pretty awesome upgrade! I do mainly saltwater fishing and shallow diving, (do wish it had CHIRP, sad ( 3 inches more than twice the price and i don't have room on my console for helix 12)). Anyway I stuck with humminbird do to the autochart feature because i was hoping to increase detail of the bottom. i use NAVIONICS, due to mainly fishing in the ocean verse lakes (lake master didn't have the detail ). When i used the autochart it did look amazing and it appeared to overlay over navionic map, ( BUT I READ EVERYWHERE THAT IT WONT ??????)  am i  wrong??? Would i be wasting my monies on 200 plus dollar program because on navionics.

anyone else use humminbird in saltwater ?

any ideas thoughts would be greatly appreciated..

It's just displaying on top of your navionics chart.   You have eight hours of internal recording.   It's not writing to the navionics card. You can change the overlay settings.  In order to store more than 8 hours of recording bottom you would need a Zero lines card from humminbird.  I still am unsure what your talking about.  Autochart, autochart live?  Two totally different things.

Perhaps the 8 hours internal was used up. Or it having trouble populating the data. They are having minor issues with that software.  It will be rectified in time.    Try turning ACL ON-off to display data
