Title: Is this normal of a view?
Post by: fshndude on June 23, 2016, 09:09:07 PM
Ok I am new to this but when I bring in the map view closer I loose detail.[attach=1] Also I can hardly tell much detail of the creeks here on the coast. Please see pic I have attached. I have found that I need to clear out all of my old data as I have one showing up in South America????   The creeks and rivers here are very flat bottom, muddy, cypress. All my tracks have no contours. But I am learning.

Thanks guys

Not normal.  You need to have your AutoChart ZeroLines SD card in the computer for the background map to have detail.

Unless, you've followed the instructions in the user manual to 'Use a Local Copy' of the card saved onto your computer.

Usually the background map doesn't show detail like your example, because the SD card isn't in the computer, which the program needs in order to read the Lkmaster background map.

Ok I thought about that, so when I build my map I have to have the zero card installed in the computer. Wow I have looked at both the Lake Masters DVSD and the training that is on here and I don't recall  them saying about that. Oh well I am learning. Thanks for all your help guys.

A PS there is no map card for the east coast as of yet. So I am thinking that you are talking about the card that came with the program CD.

Uhhh... yes.  Lakemaster is something TOTALLY different than AutoChart.
Lakemaster maps are done by Humminbird lake surveys, and you purchase their maps.  You buy a region map, and you cannot edit them.

AutoChart, you make your own maps.
