Title: Has the 1199 been discontinued by Humminbird?

I have noticed that the 1199 units are no longer displayed on the Humminbird's web site for sale or listed in the descriptive for available units. I only see the Onix  / ION units and the Helix units. I am a little put off by that because I can not afford to drop 2000 plus dollars on a new unit. I am wanting to upgrade my 798csi units on my bow and console. I also see in the Humminbird store that most units are on back order or out of stock.

The 1199 has been discontinued for some time now .... When Humminbird released the Helix series, there was a significant price drop....I think if you check the price of the Helix 10 SI, you will find it is much less expensive than the original price on the 1199, and it will network and share resources to the 1199.

Thanks Bob B for the reply. I have been away from the forum for awhile and have not been on HBs website in some time either. After reading some post on the forum I have come to realize that HB has changed their line of products.

  I do hope the forum will put out a section just for the Helix units because that does look to be HBs unit in the years to come.

I watched a couple of KVs YouTube videos of the Helix 12 SI combos and will either be getting a Onix 12 SI or the Helix 12 SI. I know that the Onix 12 units are about 3200.00 each and the Helix 12 unit is about 2300.00.  I would love to see a comparison between the two.
