i have 798ci hd si with software version 7.460 is this the correct  version  or should i have another. i cant find anything that lets me know what version i should have for my unit. thank you for any help. :)

I don't think 7.460 has been released yet for the 798.......Unless it is now starting to show up for download.

Not that I know of nor can find documentation for Bob B.

tblshur, the last software release for your 798ci HD Si unit was version 7.120
Please check and see what software version your 798ci HD Si unit has in it now.  You can register your unit in your My Humminbird account on the Humminbird web site and it will show you (only) the currently available software version.

thanks guys for straightening me out. im not very good atthese downloads and navionics i got confused. you both are exactly correct , i looked again at my unit it is 7.120. sorry for troubling you and thanks again for your help. :)
