Title: SD Card Recording Date

All the recordings on my SD card has the same date: Jan 1, 1904, 6.55am. When copied to my mac, Date is Jan 1, 1980. 7.30am!

It gets confusing after a while as the recordings are named R0001, R0002, .... Without a timestamp to date the recording, I need to open by guessing which trip was that recording on Humviewer, as the date and time recorded in the recording will tell me which date it was recorded.

How do I go about setting up the unit or card, so that the correct date and time is recorded? Or how about saving the recording with a file name instead of the auto generated R0001.

I just looked at my backups from SD card and my files are stamped with date and time of recording.

Do you have international unit?
What date for format does you computer use?

My unit is a US model. But I'm using it outside of the US.

What is the date your computer is set to?

When downloading the recordings the file takes on the date of the computer at that time.

When playing the recording the actual recording date and time of the recording shows up on the screen (given that your Humminbird's date and time are correct.

My computer is set to today's date and time. It automatically updates it's time and date to Apple's server.

I'm unable to set the time on my unit. I'm using it out of USA and it doesn't have +8 hours option.

In the US the date format is MM/DD/YYYY, what is it in Singapore? I think what may be happening is that your computer is confused by the date format and reverts to a date that get used when it encounters an error.

Are you going to the Formula 1 race tonight? What a great circuit under the lights.

Hi Jim Jack,

We were having a family event so we watched the race on the telly instead.  ;D

Changed the date format on my Mac to MM/DD/YYYY, it was still a no go. Date is Jan 1, 1904. 6.55am on all recordings in the SD card.

I might add that I did not reformat the SD card since I got it. Is that a possible cause for the problem?
