Title: Ethernet and streaming SI data
Post by: Dale on January 25, 2011, 08:33:09 PM
We are looking at using SonarWiz to acquire real time SI data. Do any of the new ethernet models transmit SI data?

SonarWiz now supports .son file format, so it can be used to post process Humminbird data. In particular the package has advanced change detection functionality which we anticipate using for measuring ecological change, asset management and object detection.

Real time collection will give us a number of benefits, particularity in ensuring we have adequate coverage of areas.

Dale,

John Gann with Chessapeake Tech checks in here every now and then.  I spoke with him a few weeks ago about the new SonarWiz5.  As of right now it does not do real-time aquizition with the Humminbird Units yet since the Ethernet port has not been activated on any of the models.  I am sure when this does happen he will one of the first to get it incorporated into the software.

SonarWiz is a great product for your application.  If you have any images you can post, I am sure there are plenty of members who would like to see them!

Good Luck,

Robert

Does anyone know the cost of sonarwhiz 5 ($us) , doesn't look like you can buy from the company but need to go thru a distributor?
