A couple of days ago. I made a short recording.
This is the 3rd recording I've done since the 5.500 update.

On all of the recordings I've done since the update, it seems like the unit just crawls on any screen view I go to while playing back the recording.  Also, adjusting the recording playback speed does absolutely nothing.  It seems that the unit is being overtaxed on resources or something.

My unit's CPU has been replaced recently and everything else works just fine.
On the water, everything works 100%.  No interference at all, and I'm getting good images from 2d/down imaging/and SI.  GPS and XM NAV weather all work great also.

I only have one unit and I'm not using the Ethernet.
I'm starting to think that maybe my hardware is malfunctioning.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm using the Sandisk Extreme III 16gb card.  The card was completely empty before I made each of the 3 recordings.

Thanks in advance.

I updated to the new 5.7 version and am having the same issue. I just thought that was how it worked. It is running at about 1/3 speed... in other words it takes it about 3 seconds to progress one second. You can change the speed of the playback but the quality degrades. Would also be interested in finding out if this is a bug or, if I just don't know how to play back recordings at "real speeds".

I heard that 5.7 was going to be released soon.  Is it up on the site yet?  I don't have access, but will be interested in the 5.7 for my 1197.

Yes, it is up on the site for the 998C SI. I assume it is also there for the other units as well.

The 5.7 update is not available yet on the website for the 1197.

i have noticed that since upgrading while recording the side image pixels become blurred and large switching the unit off and no will not cure it, i tried Turing off couture and that resets it some times, other times it resets it self, at speed it is good only around 4 mph or less and over all the unit seems less sensitive, even when increasing the sensitivity to 15
