Sandisk SD Extreme 10speed 8GB
« on: September 27, 2010, 06:46:52 AM »
Will my Apple Mac Book Pro read the Scandisk Extreme  8GB  SD card out of my new 898CX SI. I would think the images would be JPG format from the Humminbird and therefore my Mac should be able to read them.

Been thinking about getting a new computer for photo editing.  Trying to use Adobe Photo Shop Elements 8 to process my new camera pictures on the computer but my computer is too slow and old for this.

Looked at some Apple All in One computers and some Apple Laptop computers but then I thought about software that would work with my current hardware and other applications.

The problem with Apple stuff is not that it's not good hardware.  Its the software side of things

Just finding an Apple Program that will work with the Humminbird Side Scanning Units.  Or Apple Software drivers that will work with my Intuos 3 Graphic Tablet.  Or my external hard drive.

I was told that I could buy a $100 Apple Software Program and a Copy of Windows 7 ($200) and run the IBM type software on the Apple All in One Computer.

I'm just not ready to try to learn a new OS if I were to buy an Apple Computer.

Although there are times when this IBM Compatable Computer gets bogged down and slows to a crawl.

Will my Apple Mac Book Pro read the Scandisk Extreme  8GB  SD card out of my new 898CX SI. I would think

the images would be JPG format from the Humminbird and therefore my Mac should be able to read them.
