Terrova, 788ci, 1198c FOR DUMMIES
« on: April 29, 2012, 01:08:01 PM »
When the supply catches up with the demand, I want to put a a Terrova 80/US2 Ipilot and ethernet link it with a 788ci in the bow and 1198c in or near the console.  This is one of those "I want" not an "I need" purchase.
I am having a problem finding a integrated overview as to how the the units work together and the kind of support units that are required.  For sure there are bits and pieces of the functionality and questions, discussion and answers for specific problems, but I don't find it helpful for a novice.  I am experienced with FF and GPS, but the Ethernet link to the terrova, the 788 and 1198 is confusing.

I have a brief tour of this site and have not found  the overview I need.
Does anyone know of a "For Dummies Presentation"  Iwish this were a LOL request but it is not  :'(  . Thanks in advance.
Tony

Cooksman,
I think you might be a little ahead of your time.
I've got the Terrova, and 798 CI on the bow, and a 898C at the console. The two SI units are linked by ethernet. I haven't heard of an ethernet link to the Terrova at this time.
I hope someone can chime in here and prove me wrong.

Gee that broke easy.
