Can someone tell me if the below is correct.
DOWN IMAGE si:
1. Sonar coverage at water depth.
a. Down Image set to “Narrow” equals 1/3 times water depth coverage at bottom. Example 21 ft. water depth equals 7 ft. bottom coverage.
b. Down Image set to “Medium” equals 1 times water depth coverage at bottom. Example 21 ft. water depth equals 21 ft. bottom coverage.
c. Down Image set to “Wide” equals 1.5 times water depth coverage at bottom. Example 21 ft. water depth equals 31.5 ft. bottom coverage.
STD. SONAR 2D:
d. Sonar 2D setup with 200kHz transducer “only” equals 1/3 times water
depth. Example 21 ft. water depth equals 7 ft. bottom coverage.
e. Sonar 2D setup with 200kHz / 83kHZ transducers, equals 1 times water depth coverage at bottom.
Increasing Chart Speed to Boat Speed will stretch the object in SI. Example: A brush pile can be opened up a little so you can see inside better if you increase Chart Speed above boat speed if possible.
