Yea it is tough to wait for spring to break through.  I am an easterner from Jersey now living in Southern CA.  We are finally getting some rain, last year we received maybe 5" up through November.  The water temp is 54 degrees and rising slowly.  The bass are starting to move up in the pre-spawning mode.

Saying that I am hoping to sell my place this year and relocate to Oklahoma.  The weather here is great but that's it.

Up here in Western Saskatchewan, we are looking for more snow. If you have too much, ship some  our way. Ice on the lakes here is two feet thick so I may as well be having fun on my snowmobile but not possible due to lack of snow up here.

Pictures!  What's snow?

Something that is coming down from sky and with the eastern winds.  Think it is coming from the russians hell?

Anyway, it ruins eweryone. Takes your money, its swet, blood and frosen toes. Only one thats making money on it is the blacksmith, and painter on the car-repair!

In southern finland we got about  1½-2feet of snow. Thats moore than what we use to have during the last ten years. In the norhern areas there is about 2-4 feet.  The problem this year is that the snow is very soft  so its useless to go out whit an ATW. Good snowmobiles are a must, if you want to go out in the wildernes. The best is your own feet, if you like to walk in snow. But I newer seen anybody doing that, except recruit-soldiers.

I don't know that snow is from hell.  I have moved all over the country and have had lots of snow in my life.  I have always found it to be cleansing, most state with snow have much cleaner air then we have in Southern CA.

When the snow is falling and you are inside it is very soothing.  I enjoyed shoveling snow, especially in Colorado.  When the sun was out, I shoveled snow in a short sleeve shirt and still worked up a sweat.  My coldest weather/snow was in Ohio, we received lots of snow and ice.

But most important is having the ability to get on a lake to fish with or without snow.

BIG AMEN on this Whizzo!

I also can't stand the white stuff any longer.  We have a town law that citizens here have to keep their sidewalks cleaned from snow and ice from 06:00 am till 10:00 pm. Sick and tired of shoveling......

It's not frozen toes that will bothering this statue I saw when I was on a course at the Emergency Services College in Kuopio the other year, Kimi. If this wasn't bad enough, the final day's celebrations involved breaking the ice on the nearest lake and a short (very, very, short!!!) swim. :o :o :o

I live in FLORIDA and it just quit snowing.  Where is Al Gore when I need him  :-* :-* :-*!!!

Actually, it didn't even stick to the ground due to all the rain before the snow and it's the first we have seen in several years but it still just ain't supposed to snow here.

You might still get to see the white stuff Robert! I'm guessing we all can not wait for spring. Have a serious case of cabin fever here.

We should have a couple of feet of snow on the ground by now at a minimum. Farmers are starting to worry about having enough moisture for the spring. Here is a shot of the amount of snow at the cabin.

We had 8 inches at our house. Still have sn*w on the ground, will send more photos later. Our roads were clear by late yesterday afternoon.

As far as i"m concerned, God made the north cold so that they could deal with sn*w. We are supposed to watch it on TV in the south :P

That looks like over here Soretoe.
I was running this morning (actually to get some flowers I forgot for Valentine's day  ???) and didn't believe my eyes: Ice on the Lake!
I thought that §$%& was already gone two weeks ago, but now it froze again  >:(.

Another four weeks and it will warm up I hope.

Our ground hog said early spring.  but I dont know what that means. If late spring is 6 more weeks of winter is 5 more weeks of winter early spring.  I think the ground hog was drinking.  maybe we should have left him in his bed.  chuck
