newbie question again. Say if I have a coordinate for a spot on a lake that I got out of my regional sporting magazine is there a way to enter the info on my 1199 SI GPS to have my fancy boat icon get me there as long as the lake is already in my installed lake program(Carters lake here in north ga)..thnx in advance.

Yes, you can manually enter a waypoint ..... One of the tricks is that the waypoint data format can vary and you have to take that into consideration.
That's kind of an overview ..... I'm sure Rickie will check in with some better detail.

*Press Menu twice to get into the Main Menu System ...
*Cursor over to the Nav tab ...
*Cursor down to "Waypoints Routes Tracks" ...
*Cursor right to open the Waypoint Management system ...
*Cursor to highlight "Options" ...
*Cursor right to open the Options menu ...
*Cursor to "New" ...
*Cursor right to open the "New Waypoint menu" ...
*Enter your coordinates using the cursor right/left to highlight character to edit - cursor up/down to change the character ...
Don't forget to highlight and select the "Save" button ...
*Press the "Exit" button repeatedly to back out of the Waypoint Management system ...
Here's the Waypoint Management manual ...
