High Speed 2D transducer
« on: May 13, 2010, 12:48:32 PM »
OK, I know I have seen on the forum somewhere the Humminbird model number for a 2D high speed transom mount transducer.  After 30 minutes of searching and reading posts, I give up.  Would someone be kind enough to give the model number I need.  It will be used with an 1197c SI, I do not want a quadbeam, and I know I need a Y cable.

For some reason I am search impaired today.

Thanks,
ED

I saw that one on the Humminbird site but was not sure it would work since the 1197c SI was not list under the compatible models.  I knew there were transducers that would work and not listed but was not sure which ones.  Figured I would ask and be safe.  Thanks.

The XNT-9-20 would be if you want to mount the 2D transducer on the outside of the hull.  For an inside-the-hull mount you should go with the XP-9-20 transducer.
 Both need the AS-Si-DB-Y cable

Anytime Ed,

I figure the units listed with the transducers are the ones which primarily use these transducers.
Since the XNT-9-20 and the XP-9-20 both use the same 2D frequencies (83/200 kHz) like the 1197 HDSI transducer and the connectors are the same they will work on SI units in combination with the Y-cable or the transducer switch.

Yes I have the XNT 9 20 T, I think it has the temp sensor which I figured out that I don't need it, but I have it now
