Title: 600 volt THHN wire
Post by: 234rick on April 30, 2013, 07:45:10 PM
I hope someone can answer this because I can't find anything online. Is it ok to use cooper stranded THHN wire that is used in conduit for house wiring for a 20' run for a 798 HD. What I have is #14 & it has 19 strands.

I think that wire should be fine.  The 14 guage will be plenty large for a 798.  I think the THHN is rated as gas and oil resistant.

I think you are talking about individual wires.  If I were doing the install, I would twist the wire to help reduce the possibility of interference.  (Tie one end of the wire to something stationary and the other end in a drill chuck....pull tight while twisting.)
