Hi
I just finish my tow fish, unfortunately have a small problem on my transducer.
My transducer cable is damage just above the transducer itself. The cable gland was also damage so I had to remove it.
I am not worried about the cable, as I sure I able to solder it together. My biggest concern is how to seal the transducer so it would not flood the first time I put it back in the water.
Any suggestions on how to approach this?

Hi Kenneth
All make good clean, abrade with fine sandpaper and then sealed with a sealant (Sikaflex, Bilthema ect). Here, the sealant generously apply and a cone around the cable forms.

Hi Rüger
Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately the ground wire was damage and broken off just above the transducer. I manage to grind a hole in the transducer and solder the ground wire back on.
Now to the big question. Is it possible to measure the transducer circuit?

Hi Kenneth
For possible measured values of ask best "Rickard".

I heard you...
I don't think measuring the circiuts is needed. A damage to the cable should have no effect on the interior of the transducer. Just follow the colors of the wires and reconnect them.
