Title: 587ci and Lakemaster chips?
Post by: ramevy on November 27, 2012, 09:13:27 PM
I apologize if this has been discussed and if this is in the wrong forum.  I'm wondering if a Lakemaster chip model: HPWIC3 can work with a 587ci, software version: 5.310?  I notice now, after I already purchased a chip off of guy on craigslist that it is compatible with the 587ci HD.  I tried the chip and it will say "loading charts" for about 1-2 seconds and then disappear never loading any charts.  I'm wondering if anybody knows of a workaround that I could use.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you for looking.

You have to be in a gps location contained on that chart to
see if it really loaded.
If you are 100 miles from the nearest lake on that chart
then you won't see anything, unless you use your
cursor to scroll over to that lake from your gps map view.

Needs to be an HD model.  The 500 series non HD is not backwards compatible with Lakemaster.
