If you haven't looked at the Member Map (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?action=googlemap), take a minute and place your pin. We have over 1900 members now and only a hand-full have placed their pins so far. Go to the member map (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?action=googlemap) and click on the "Click here to Place your pin" at the bottom of the page.
Or you can also follow this link to place your pin. (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?action=profile;area=forumprofile#googlemap)
It's interesting to see where we have members around the world!
Thanks,
Robert

tried to get to member map but cannot link up. help!

If you want to keep your exact location secret then pick something close like a lake or river. At least we will be able to see where our members are geographically. And who knows...you might find a new fishing friend. Sometimes heving a close neighbor will help with setting or operational aspects of your unit. Chuck

The member map is down temporarily. We are making some upgrades.
Thanks for your patience.

Did you click the 3rd link in the first post? It will take you to your profile and you will be able to zoom in and out on the map. Find the location you want to place your pin and click on it. Then go down and click the save button at bottom of your profile.
Or you can also follow this link to place your pin. (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?action=profile;area=forumprofile#googlemap)
Good Luck,
Robert

Hi Robert, yes, that is exactly what I did.....in fact tried 3 times, but when I went back to check if I got "pinned", it wasn't there???
-
OK, there WAS a problem with the Member Map. Apparently the Google API was out of date and you could not place your pin on the map. It wasn't saving it. So give it a try now.
I would ask that anyone who has or hasn't done this, follow this link and make sure your pin placement is showing up in your profile. If not, zoom to your location and click on the spot you want to put your pin, then go to the bottom of the page and click "Change Profile" button.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Hi RG,
I triied to pin the map again. In my profile, I was able to do so, however, on the heading "member map", it doesn't show up. Just an FYI.

MT-ED,
It showed your location for me on the Member Map!
And thank you very much for signing up as Charter Member! Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
-
Robert,
I tried to edit mine and now it does not show up. I got no map image to move my pin when on my Profile page.
-
Might be browser related. I looked at yours Greg and it took a second to show, but it did come up.

Could be Robert. I pulled it up while viewing the rest of the site yet in never showed. I’ll try and remember to try it at home using Mozilla.
EDIT: Okay I got it now. Using IE here at work and had to change the Compatibility View for it to show up. I moved my marker to show what part of the building I mainly work in.
:)

Wow, the resolution on Google Maps is just phenominal! I was able to zoom in and saw you sitting at your desk!
-
The amazing part Robert is that they caught me on a day when I was actually working! ;D
-

-
Maybe I missed the answer, but why doesn't my pin show up?
-
