Title: Solix units stopped networking
Post by: Skeeter07 on September 09, 2018, 07:09:38 PM
Was out fishing and everything was working and then half way through day 360 stopped working and gps and sonar stopped being shared along with mapping not be shared.  5 port switch is under console everything was still plugged in but when networking issues started I was hearing ticking sound coming from under console.  Anyone thin 5 port went bad?  Is there a fuse for 5 port?  Low voltage?  Looking for help and all was wired from basscat factory.  Thanks.

I would hope the factory wired power to the AS ETH 5XPG with a fuse  ...

Can you trace the the power wire to where they connected it to 12v power  ...??

So haven't taken boat in to get networking problem above checked out.  But went out yesterday and to my amazement 360 and units were linked again.  Nothing changed except deleting all nav data on each machine.  Anyone had this happen to them? Been told by humminbird they are working on another update for solix units.  Sure hope this helps with this and not having to finesse settings to get depth finders to work correctly.  Spend thousands of dollars to have these issues.  No wonder you see a lot of ppl going to Garmin and Lowarnce.

I have hundreds of waypoints with spaces in the name.  I also have sporadic strange problems with my solix 12.  What kind of issues are traceable to spaces in a name?  Anyone know if HB is doing anything to address this?
