Edit Menu
« on: November 04, 2013, 01:27:10 PM »
I'm in the process of cleaning up my waypoints and have discovered I'm able to delete some of them but others I can't.  I think the problem is there is a "lock" icon present in the lower right of the screen in an info window.  When I can delete a waypoint there is a check mark here instead of a lock.  I have no idea why some waypoints show a lock and others a check mark but if a lock is there now I can't even change it.  Any help would be appreciated.

ohmitr,
These waypoints may be a part of a Route.  I’m not at work this week so I don’t have access to a unit to test this with.
What version software are you running in your 798ci Si unit?

That lock icon may be to show that the waypoint cannot be shared – not 100% sure though as I am not at work and don’t have a unit to check this with.

Did you happen to check to see if you have any Routes?
Is the unit currently set to navigate to a waypoint or travel a route?

I solved my problem another way.  I got everything like I wanted it on the SD card, formatted the Nav data and uploaded from the card.  I had wanted to do this before but couldn't find the format option.  I finally did and everything's good now.  Thanks for the help.
