Download from sounder issue.
« on: January 08, 2013, 05:38:50 AM »
Hi guys,

I read and followed this FAQ guide: http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=2988.0 however I'm still having issues with the download, everything seems to download to a spare SD card fine but then when I upload the info into HummindPC any waypoints I have made by pressing the mark button aren't visible in HumminbirdPC, I've tried a few times and the only waypoints I can see are the ones that I created in HumminbirdPC. Anyone else had this same issue?

Software is current, 798ci si.

Thanks, great site.

Nick.

When you press Mark, the waypoint is saved in your
unit's system memory, not on your SD card.
In order to get all of your unit's waypoints to an
SD card, you must export all NAV data from your
unit to the SD card.
Then, you should be able to see all your waypoints
in HumminbirdPC.

You may also be looking at an older file in HumminbirdPC.
When you open the DATA.HWR file (from the SD card), in HumminbirdPC, it
creates a .GPX file for you with a unique name.
These names change if you already have .GPX files on
your computer.

Make sure you write down the name of the .GPX file it creates for
you, and use that newest one in HumminbirdPC to view your most
up to date NAV data.

Well I tried two more times, first time no joy and second time it worked beautifully so I've spent over an hour tidying up my marks. Thanks, unsure what the issue is/was maybe my card needs to be replaced as it seemed to export all the data every time, it just wasn't always on the cards.

Thanks Geek and all.

Cheers, Nicko.
