Zero lines Map GPS issue
« on: April 05, 2017, 12:16:33 PM »
I recently bought the Helix 9 Mega CHIRP SI G2N unit and on the first outing I noticed that the zero lines of the lake was way to the top and right of the GPS position I was at according to the internal GPS of the head unit.

I tried everything to do a map offset as I could on the Helix 7 SI GPS I own. Yet this was just not possible. After many failed attempts on the internet and even mailing Humminbird themselves, I played around with the unit and found the issue. Now how to fix this is the new focus, just hope I'll get better service from Humminbird, seriously not impressed.

Anyhow, if I deselect my Humminbird zero-lines card (deselect "auto") it then selects "contour XD card" and then I have the option to do a map offset. The moment I select the zero-lines map card, then that option disappears. Yes I have the user mode selected as "Advanced"

Anybody perhaps sorted this issue before, please share on the how to?
When I die, will someone please dress as the Grim Reaper and attend silently and a little distance away from the rest of the crowd? ROFL
