346 c di
« on: August 17, 2013, 03:34:15 PM »
hi greg or anybody with knowledge. i was watching the new 346 c di and humminbird.com states that in fullscrenn di view it can turn off the 2d sonar and get twice as many di pings. then the questions pops up: 1 does this improve di image quality? 2 does this give me the posibillity to run the 346 in di 800/455 while running 898/1198 si 455/800 at the same time without interference? 3 is this feature going to be a software uptdate for other units?

I don’t remember hearing this.
Q1: I don’t know.
Q2: No, running any two sonar units at the same frequency will result in possible sonar-to-sonar interference if their sonar beams overlap.  Running one on 455kHz and the other on 800kHz should not cause any interference.
Q3: I have no idea.
