Topic: 998 SI & 859 XD updated problem

Hi Guys,

I have a 998c SI and a 859ci XD,
I received the email that there was updates available so I went ahead and followed humminbird steps and everything went fine on both units, with a Ethernet cable I now can see SI and DI and of course 2d on the 859ci XD,
I use the 998 at the helm and 859 at the rear for the downrigging days and move it to the bow on the t-motor days
Today was the first day I got to use them with the new updates, downrigging for lakers...
After launching I set the 998 on 2d/chart and 859 on 2d, I've gone through every setting b4 and after the updates  and I think I have them set pretty good,  the screens came alive right away with fish so I left them alone and concentrated on fishing,  it's probably the simplest thing but I havent red up on how to take pics yet, I could of posted some awesome 2d pics of hooks coming after our spoons, bait fish with hooks, etc, I want to see my d weights so I keep the sens high and the detail is amazing, I will post pics soon, I hope lol...

Late day the winds started picking up the fishing slowed down and we started to head back b4 it got to rough so I decided to go through all the views on both units and on both the SI and DI are very poor, the SI & DI on 998 was way better b4 the update was done, seems like only on the green colour screen I can kind of see something, 2d is so crisp compared to the DI now, on DI everything is dotty now seems very low pixels or something and also both DI & SI seem very dark can barely see them,

Can it be the updates?

It could be Fabio but there is no way to be sure unless you cross-test your 998 unit with another Humminbird Si model unit to be sure.
