Title: 596c hd ci not reading correct depth

Hi My unit does not show the correct depth, always gives a max or 1100ft? and bounces around that sort of depth.

I have purchased a new ducer XNT 9 20 T and still get the same results, tried setting factory re-set but still the same.

Anyone have or had this problem?

Are you running another sonar unit at the same time?

Does this happen with everything else on the boat turned off?

Make sure that the bottom of the transducer is pointing downwards into the water when you test it.

If the new transducer does not help and nothing on the boat is affecting the unit, than it sounds like your 596c HD unit is bad and will need to be returned for servicing.
