Hi All,
The 898 update 6.180 went well from HB website to SD card to the unit.  This software update is for radar and the removal of all the readouts on the 898 screen for SI

DD...good luck and post pictures of your catch for others to see.
If you can say how the unit contributed to the catch.
Unless the pictures give away your secret spot....in that case remove the gps...

thanks, it is different from the 1197 file..

I’m a brand new 898cx si owner virgin.
Unit came with firmware 5.7 loaded.
Before it had even been in the water I updated the firmware.
All went well. Follow the instructions and simple as pie.
I’m not sure exactly yet what the firmware upgrade did, other than provide full screen si views. ) I liked that so I upgraded
Got tired of arm chair reading today so I launched the boat as ice is now free here, but with a cold north wind.
Water 34f.
Just playing to date..lot’s to learn.
To date I’m a happy HB customer.
