Problems with HuminView
« on: September 02, 2009, 06:37:56 AM »
Hi!

I got a problem with the huminview 3.031. When I want to look at it, I got a error message.
We have Windows XP, ServicePack3, latest Java Version.
If we want to see it in huminview, Files which are not longe than one minute we can look about them. See the pictures.
But if the file is longer, each time we get the same error message:
"Something is wrong with B003. Should contain data for approx. 5415 seconds (s) but contains only data for 5249 seconds (s). Recordings in the file will not be used. Please note that other data could be corrupted as well"
Can somebody help us?
We tried it on different computers with Windows XP or ServicePack 2 and 3, but we do not find the problem....

Looking forward for our answers.
Frank

Frank,

When you stop recording, do you go to the menu and press "Stop Recording" or is it possible you are powering off the unit before you stop recording?

5400 seconds is a 90 minute recording.  That is a pretty big file.  I would recommend keeping the files around 30-45 minutes max.

I guess you are referring to HumViewer. It is a fault that have been mentioned a couple of times, among others in this thread: http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=253.0

I better get that next version released soon.......

Hi!

Thanks for your answers.
We didnīt made files with 90 minutes or so. the file is only 8 minutes, thats what the system said.
And we get the same error message. It doesnīt matter if 5 minutes or 12.
We didnīt turn off the powering, we say each time "stop recording". The problem is still the same.
We tried a lot now, and now we can say: if a file is longer than 60 seconds we get this problem.
Is the file shorter we can see the pictures.

Regards
Frank

I just installed the software and am experiencing the same problem.

Please let me know when you have a fix.

I look forward to using the program.

I would make sure any questions on the Humviewer are posted in the Software forum below.  Martin is more likely to check there first for any questions on the software.

As a side note sometimes changing side distance can cause a viewing problem. That was more in the beginning but does not seem to be a problem in the new release with the 1197.  Try experimenting with that option a bit.  chuck
