Deutschsprachiges Forum
« on: February 26, 2012, 10:55:30 AM »
Nun gibt es auch ein deutschsprachiges Forum zu dieser Thematik. Nicht als Ersatz für dieses Forum, sondern nur zur Ergänzung.

FYI - Translation from the internet:

"Now there is a German-language forum on this topic. Not as a substitute for this forum, but only to supplement"

I think it is information to let those that read German and may have some difficulty with English, that there is another forum that could benefit them.

I think that these forums are great, especially those with alternative languages to help others.  I am always amazed at how many people are bilingual that can speak, read and write English, while most of us only know the English language.  Yes, there are a lot of Americans that are bilingual, but by far most of us only know English.

I hear ya George.  And those of us who speak only one language are sometimes poor at that..American english is not the same as other countries who ESL in school..
And then there are those of us who are from the south.  ..... ;D

Because there is so much knowledge and information on this site it is good that Rudiger takes the time to help with out a translator...
My hat is off to those who can understand several languages. I tried French for a while overseas and I suck at that... ::)

Chuck

I tried French and Spanish and sucked at it, when living in CA I worked with a number of Hispanics that did not speak English and I did not speak Spanish.  But you know, we learned how to communicate and have some some fun.  When I was in Italy (USN many years ago) I met an Italian Sailor he did not speak English and I did not speak Italian and we went through Naples and had a great time, he introduced me to the back streets that I would have never entered on my own.

What I have found is that there is always a way to communicate.  Some how we always make it work, that is why forums like this are so great, everyone is treated with respect and everyone is willing to help others.

In order to make it clear again. ;)
English is the quasi-official language in the SI joint, so my German language forum but not a substitute only a supplementary option. I've learned a lot in this forum and would like to pass on when needed in German.

Must bring out this topic again, because Yahoo has terminated the free service. :-[
Therefore, I have set up a German speaking forum under a new address. Since this notice also gillt for the DrDepth forum, I have also set up a sub-heading.
