Title: transducer selection?

in 1 of the sub menu's there is the choose of side scan ,hi def side scan,duel ,etc etc. since it is a 998SI do I leave it on only one of the settings or can I use more than one.

Leave it on the default setting Peter.

If you would have one of the older SI transducers which work with 262 and 455 kHz you would be able to choose the Side Scan setting and use the 262 kHz. The 998 transducer is a HDSI (High Definition) transducer since it uses 455 kHz and 800kHz.

The 800 kHz gives you the best details on the screen, while the 455 kHz give you the better area coverage.
