More than one update per SD card
« on: June 21, 2010, 10:15:01 PM »
Am I correct in that I can put the new updates for my 898 si and 788 ci on the same SD card and the units will select the correct update?  Any help would be appreciated.

You can put lots of the updatse on one card. Just be sure to take it out as soon as the upgrade is done. Otherwisw it will attempt to install tha last update that you just replaced if ya don't pay attention. Reason I know this is because it happened  to me

Yes, you can put more than one update on a card from more than one unit and it will automatically recognize the correct one.  But I would not recommend putting more than one update per unit on a card.

The 788 will only see updates for the 788 and the 898 will only see updates for the 898. You can have both on the same card with no trouble. It's just you can't have 2 versions of software for the same unit on the same card.
