Can I use this SD Card in my 997 unit ?

PNY 8GB Professional Series Hi-Speed Class 10 SDHC Card

Jim,

It will work but it will not be as fast as the SanDisk Extreme III.  The PNY has a read/write speed of 20mb/s and the Extreme III is 30mb/s. 

The difference in performance is very noticeable if you are going to be recording.  If you are just taking snapshots and saving waypoints etc, it will be fine.

your right just going to take pictures and waypoints. I don't record.
