Title: is the humminbird site down?
Post by: nicknight on June 29, 2011, 06:51:58 PM: I tried to see if there were software updates for my unit; I log in and get sent to some search results page on humminbird. When I go to get software updates again I go back to the login page and start again. This has been the situation for at least 24 hours. (yes my username/password are correct)

Anyone else having issues.

i've bought this unit last september (manufactured in july'11), is it possible that there is a deadline between manufacturing and registering?

Wow. My job has me doing useability analysis for computer systems. The Humminbird login page would be failed due to that annoyance/caveat. No question, the webpage is broken.

It is a REALLY easy thing to fix. So easy that it makes the coder (Humminbird) look bad if it is left that way.

I am sure support staff have brought it to the webpage administrators already.

100% correct FuzzyGrub. If it was totally controlled by us it would have been fixed long ago…

You need to contact the Humminbird Customer Resource folks for help with this. There is no deadline that you have to register your unit by.

Post by: Humminbird_Greg on July 01, 2011, 08:54:28 AM: No yaro, location and IP address have nothing to do with this. It must be that your unit and serial number did not get uploaded to the web sites database correctly. Call and they should be able to get it corrected.
