Title: Thinking about upgrading

Presently own a 997 C and am satisfied overall with it. During daylight it can be somewhat difficult to see depending on how sunny the day is.

My question is would the upgrade to a 998 C with the LED backlight be worth it or no ? Just looking for opinions. I  don't know any owners of
the newer 998's so I can't do comparison.

This would be my only reason for upgrading better daylight viewing.

I have the 997c and have too thought about this but the price difference even if I get 1000 out of mine is just too much to justify.

My 2 cents:
I wouldn't spend that kind of money just to get a better daylight
viewable screen.
I'd upgrade to an 1198 with a large daylight viewable screen, and
a beefier processor.  The 1198 has enough power to run all of the
accessories you may want to ad in the future.
You can buy sun shields to attach to your unit, or buy sunscreens
that stick directly onto the screen glass.  They will help dramatically.
