Post by: Musky1969 on July 12, 2014, 12:14:20 AM
I have things hooked up and all the other features work except the follow the contour.  I cursor over then push go to and the option does not show up like in the videos.  What's up?

Are you using a lakemaster card?

Yes it is a new Lakemaster card identified as IPILOT Link on the chip.  I have a 899 that I bought this February at the Sport Show in Milwaukee.  Ethernet is collected but I will check the connections again.

What software versions are you running in your 899 unit and the Controller and Remote of the i-Pilot Link trolling motor Musky1969?

Make sure under the chart tab that the "contour lines" are set to visable. You may have to reset the lakemaster card several times. You may see contour line on the your map but it may not show up under the chart tab

This will occur when you dont have a connection to your motor.  Enable your status screen and make sure it says connected for ipilot. I had this issue on the weekend.  You may need to turn everything off reconnect and check your connections then turn on and check the status. if it says you are connected on the status for the ipilot, than I dont know what next to try. At least I know that if your ipilot link compatible sonar doesn't have a connection to an ipilot compatible motor then the follow contour will not appear. Also when you select the North - navigate option on your ipilot motor you will see a green arrow on the sonar if your motor is properly connected. If you dont see it appear when you press the N on your sonar you know you are not connected
