I see the price of last years 101 are cheap, plus you get a $101 rebate. Any reason last years would not be a good choice over this years 80? I also wanted to get a 24v not a 36v, but for almost $350 less why not? What do you guys think? This years 80# 24v for like $ $1850 total or last years 101 for like $1500?

I just bought a i-pilot link 101 for $1625.
There is no rebate on 101#, but it is still a good price.

they are giving $101 rebate on last years. I just talked with Minn Kota my self. If you just bought it, call them and get your rebate.

If you have room for a 3rd battery the 101 is a good choice(but you have to add the price of the battery and your charger needs to have another charging bank. Bob

I just paid $1620 with shipping for the 101 with link. They wanted $1860 not tax or shipping at my local for the 80. Plus the $101 rebate, I think I saved $340. Now I will need to sell the 2 bank charger and pick up a 3 bank. I have a '95 175 LS Hydro Sport that haas a 60 on it now and it never had a problem pulling me around. Should be a good time. First tournament is Apr. 26 hope the 30" of ice is gone so I can try it out before that. The guy has two more units left. Glenns rod and reel in Iowa.

the 101 might be cheaper but you still need to add a 3rd trolling battery and change the onboard charger to accomodate it. Total investment and maintenance would be more but you never hear anyone say my trolling motor is too fast :)
