B000 error
« on: August 14, 2013, 09:04:20 PM »
When trying to load data from the record file I receive the error Booo should contain data for approximately 21508 seconds but contains data for 4 seconds.  Other data could be corrupted also.   After continuing I try to run with the loaded data and the remaining data in corrupt.    I am recording on  1198 CSI unit using the latest software.   Is it possible that the latest upgrade is the problem?   Does anyone have any suggestions to the problem?    This has happened the last 3 times out.

I still get the error but I am now able to see my data.   I reloaded Java and removed and then reinstalled Humviewer this time just installing the program alone.    I also have to readjust the cropping setting each time that I load a new data file.   Is there any help file around that I might read that explaines settings and how to set up the program?

Thanks,

Phil

I am getting the same error code, does anyone have any ideas what this is and how to make the code go away?

Are you manually stopping the recording process on the HB unit by selecting "Stop Recording" from any Xpress menu ... ??

No this is happening while humviewer trys to open/download the recording. You can see it going B0001,  B0002, B0003, then GPS.  Then it gives you the error code on B0000.  The file on my computer opens and does run.  It is just annoying to get the error code and not know if it is really affecting the file.

Sorry I reread your question.  Yes I do stop the recording on the Humminbird unit.  I do not know or remember if I stop it from an Express Menu or not. I think I do, I hit menu and on the express screen at the top I think it said Stop Recording  and I did.

This is correct ... Once starting a recording from the "Snapshot and Recording" view ... The recording process can be manually stopped by pressing the "Menu" button one time from any view (Not diagnostic views)... And "Stop Recording" will be at the top of the list in the Xpress menu ...

So the recording is loading and playing in Humviewer ... ??

But you are getting the error code for the B0000 ...??

Is it possible you are changing the the "Beam Frequency" setting (under the Sonar tab on the HB unit) while the recording process is "recording" ... ??

I suppose it is possible as I recently started messing around with that.  I am not gonna worry about the error code as once humviewer tells me the B000 error, the movie still runs and it looks complete to me.

Just a FYI ...

The B0000 file is the 83kHz frequency channel ...

*If you started the recording with the "Beam Frequency" setting at 83kHz or 83kHz/200kHz ...and then changed the "Beam Frequency" setting to 200kHz during the recording (turning off the 83kHz channel) = the recording would not have an "end data" reference point for the 83kHz channel at the "Stop Recording" command ...

*If you started the recording with the "Beam Frequency" setting at 200kHz ...and then changed the "Beam Frequency" setting to 83kHz or 83kHz/200kHz during the recording (turning ON the 83kHz channel) = the recording would not have an "start data" reference point for the 83kHz channel at the "Start Recording" command ...
