Setting Track attributes with HBPC...???
« on: May 17, 2014, 10:23:42 AM »
I am processing SI data from my 998HD unit...  from that data I have managed to create Tracks that outline weedbeds and unmapped channels, etc.   When I use HBPC to upload my new Tracks to the SD card I am not seeing any way to edit the Track attributes such as line width and color.
These new Tracks default to a series of small circles that are barely visable on my HB unit.   I would like to be able to have them more visable right from the start.   Is there a way in HBPC (or some other tool) to allow me to set these tracks to display as a thin solid line in some color (green for weedlines for example) of my choosing??

I am hating having to upload them to my HB unit and then sit in the boat as I bring them up one by one to make the exact same changes to all of them.
(Alternatively, if anyone has found a different/better way to outline interesting features on the HB maps please share that idea too.)

Welcome to the Humminbird Side Imaging Forums oldschool.

It sounds like you need to go into the Waypoints, Routes, Tracks menu and Edit each Track to change its appearance.  You will have to do this one by one.

Change the Saved Track Defaults to characteristics you desire, then any "new" imported track will have those characteristics.
Other than that, you have to individually edit each track to have different characteristics.

But, you can use Reefmaster to merge individual tracks into one track with track-segments.  At one time I have over 45 individual tracks for boat-runs, roadbeds, creeks, etc.  I merged all roadbed tracks into 1, boat-runs into 1 & creeks into 1.
Roadbeds I make color black, boat-runs I make green & creeks I make blue.

Saves alot of time after a Restore Defaults or Software Upgrade. . . .
