SI recording to waypoint
« on: January 02, 2012, 01:16:07 PM »
When viewing my SI recordings, trying to move my cursor to mark a waypoint from the recording will lock the unit up and the cursor will not move. Is this normal?

I am having the exact same problem. Have posted on several message boards with no luck. I have also emailed Humminbird with no response. I plan to call them. I feel that it is a software clitch.

I just submitted an online support request. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

I just downloaded and tried it. It is excellent. Thanks.

I was using another viewer that needed the file conversion from son to xtf.

You should be able to make waypoints from the recording from Humviewer.

I think you will find Humviewer a better viewer than having to convert to xtf viewer.
Martin has been very helpful with his viewer program and it is a good way to review..
You can move around HV much easier than in the unit playback.
And the computer screen is a better picture.
And probably easier to use as humview does not require you to make any conversions...

Hope this helps, I have the same issue...but during playback if you hit the cursor it stops the video from playing, so what I do is press menu and go to playback speed and arrow to the right or left for reverse and then press exit and you can move the cursor and zoom or what ever you like. Also you can not take snap shots when in playback so I turn it off so that I can mark way-points.
