997c si Using two SD cards
« on: July 13, 2010, 01:13:23 PM »
I called humminbird and I was waitting to long to get someone and I know someone can anr this for me on this site alot faster.

First when you make a waypoint it takes the gps and screen shot and saves it to the unit and the SD card at the sametime right ?
So why dos my unit has in the menu...Export All Data to SD card.

Second, I deleted ALL my screen shots by mistake. I will not do that again.
I like to know can I get 2 SD cards and save all my pictures on both cards ?
I mean, If I have a GPS & screen shots on one SD card. How do I copy the SD card thats has all the gps # on it to the new Card ?
My unit has two slots one for the SD card and the other for the Map chart.

Thats so If I delete any gps # again I can get them back with the spare SD card.

Thanks
JIM

Jim,

The unit only saves the snapshots to the SD card when you press the mark button.  The waypoint is saved to the unit only at that point.  When you export all nav data, you are saving the waypoints from the unit to the sd card.

In order to copy the entire card, you will need to save the files to a folder on your computer, and then put in the other card and save the files back to the new card.
