Hi,
is possible to do a boostrap on directclty on my unit without the cable AS-PC2 with an update on SD card loaded with Hummindird PC ?

Hello JMB ZFT and welcome to the forum!
Nope, that's not possible. You have to have the cable to do the Bootstrap gig.
The unit is locked up if you have to go this way. Means it doesn't recognize the SD card. The only way around to unlock the unit is to "remotely" reset the unit with the cable and your PC.
I know this is uncomfortable, but better than sending the unit back to Humminbird.

my unit have problem display with SI since an update last year .... and i want try your process to make an update with humminbird pc ...
i 've found this to make myself a cable compatible like AS2-PC .. that can be usefull for people here ...

i've updateD my unit like your process with bootstrap .. With last update ...no change mY S.I doesn't work correctly..it's the same that before the update ..
Can i make a reset with bootsrap menu..in place of choose Program option ?? and after reprogramming unit with HB PC software ...

JMB when you updated your unit it did not take.Get a Sand Disc. sd card size 2-gig or under.
Download a older or original version on the card put it in your bird.Then delete that update from your card put the
new update on your card then update your bird again should work fine. Gary
