Title: 5.5 Software For 1198 S I Units....Question
Post by: calli1 on July 09, 2011, 06:37:02 PM: How is everyone doing with the new 5.5 Software Update on the S I units. I am still with the 5.4 right now and have not downloaded the newest update on my Humminbird 1198 S I yet. I have noticed that the Chatter is down right now. What is your opinion?

Post by: edwardpic on July 10, 2011, 06:34:03 PM: For me I needed the 5.5 software because I Ethernet a 898c and a 1198c together to share sonar. Other then that I havent noticed a difference between the 5.4 and 5.5. But then again I dont use Humviewer or take screen snapshots.

Post by: calli1 on July 10, 2011, 11:19:00 PM: I have "FINALLY" downlaoded the newest 5.50 update for my 1198. I also have the 5.410 ready for backup just incase something went wrong. I will have to wait and see. I do not use the ethernet system so I really do not know what it will mean for me. Thanks to all for your help.
