snapshot and record express menu
« on: May 29, 2015, 10:48:12 AM »
How do I get to this menu? I found in accessories snapshot but can't find record. Looking in my manual and it shows the menu but doesn't show me how to get there. In the faq it says you can only put pics on pc not videos is this right? Even with Hummview?

*Press "Menu" twice to get into the main tabbed menu ...
*Cursor over to the "Views" tab ...
*Cursor down to the "Snapshot and Recording" view ...
*Make this view "Visible" ...
*Exit out of the menu system ...
*Press the View button repeatedly until the Snapshot and Recording view shows ...

This is where you can view snapshots and recordings on the unit itself ...

*Press the "Menu" button one time to open the Snapshot and Recording Xpress menu ...
*The 1st option "Start Recording" is the only place you can start a recording (with a SD Card inserted) ...
*You can "Stop Recording" in the Xpress menu from any view ...

While on the Snapshot and Recording view ...Use the cursor up and down to cycle thru the saved Snapshots and Recordings ...
Use the cursor right to activate a recording or view a snapshot full screen ...

Snapshots and Recordings are saved directly to the SD Card ...
---------

When you open the SD Card on your PC ...::

*The Snapshots will be located in the folder titled "SNAPSHOTS" ...
*Open the SNAPSHOTS folder and click on any file with a .PNG extension ...
*Your native PC photo viewer should open the .PNG to view the snapshot ...
--------
*The Recordings will be located in the folder titled "RECORD" ...
*Open the RECORD folder and notice several folders and files ...
*The .DAT file is the file Humviewer will be looking for when you use Humviewer ...
