ALL SI Models - WRECK MODE
« on: January 28, 2015, 04:57:55 AM »
Model:
ALL SI Models
Suggested Upgrade:
WRECK MODE
Explanation:
Hi

I am an Ion user. I want to tell something. I have autochart card and I use autochart live many times especially on wrecks. I have a really good opinion about it! According to me, if this button exist on menu,
Onix and Ion will be first machine which has that feature!
It can be called  "wreck mode" on autochart menu! so let me tell what it is for!
I do fishing on wrecks, when I come on the wreck I look at the depth of wreck. let s say it is in 80 meters, I set the autochart and it shows me only depths from 60 meters to 100 meter and it shows every 25 cm depth differences! so I see the whole wreck on my chart and I can do perfect trolling fishing without hooking to wreck!!
It is really amazing feature for wreck fisherman!!! But  lets say if I go to another wreck which is on 30 meters, I  should set it again to 10 meters to 50 meters!
So if you put "wreck mode" button to that menu and this button will look at the depth and will set the  automaticly everything... it would be great!!
There will be also "wreck mode setting" button for individual setting.

No it does not, I was simply asking if you could use bottom lock to keep the bottom onscreen, sorry that I asked.
Have a nice day....

ksc

sfw1960 ask a legitimate question. Bottom Lock continuously graphs the bottom at a constant point on the display regardless of changes in depth.
This used along with Bottom Range could meet you needs.

Yes I know, I m sorry if he took offense. I mean we are talking about the different things, I want to see the wreck on my chart screen and revolve around ( circle ) it without hooking to wreck. I dont think if you set the bottom lock on, the settings of autochartlive scale will change! I asked if you have autochartlive on your unit, because mine is very far away from me n I will have chance to go there in may! Maybe someone can try this.
