Suggested Upgrade:	Mac Version of HBPC
Explanation:	I am a new HB 898 owner and the first advice I was given was to download HBPC to manage all my sonar info. Problem is, I have a Mac computer and this software program is only compatible with Windows PC. The workaround is a real hassle and added expense. Please, Humminbird, make a Mac version of HBPC. Apple/Mac products are growing in popularity...it only makes sense to make this available to your customers. Please.

As a follow-up to this suggestion...I looked back and saw this was suggested nearly two years ago. I can tell you that Apple/Mac products have only grown in popularity since then, and this will continue. I have now thoroughly researched the issue and although there are a couple options to workaround the issue of HBPC's incompatibility with Mac, it's not so simple, and there are other issues that can occur when this is done. I just think it's a shame to have the added expense and risk of introducing other system problems to your Mac, for the sole purpose of running the necessary software to manage your Humminbird. To me, this is a no-brainer, if you truly value your customers.

i found this thread while searching google for a Mac download. Has there been any updates and is anything available for a Mac yet? There has got to be just as many Mac users as PC users..... or at least very close. Every company offers a Mac & PC version for all downloads now days?

I do have both PC and Mac so I don't really have this problem.  But if I only had my Mac then I would be fine as well.  A solution for this and any other PC only program is to set up Boot Camp and have your mac able to Dual Boot both Windows and Mac OS.

I agree make a Mac version please!  If you don't like the dual boot option another option is a VM like VMware Fusion but a native app would definitely be the best.
